Due to the threat of severe weather , all classes will be canceled for this evening Feb. 25th. Dancers are welcomed to make up classes next Tuesday after parade practice. Tir na nog may attend regular beginners class from 515 to 6 pm. Parade Attire sheet PARADE PRACTICE : Parade rehearsals will be held as follows: Tuesday Feb, 16, and 23, and Tuesday March 2, and 9th Time will be from 6pm to 7 pm. ON THOSE NIGHTS ONLY, CLASS SCHEDULE WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: 5:15 TO 6 PM BEGINNERS/ADVANCED BEGINNERS 6 TO7 PM PARADE PRACTICE (FOR parade participants only) 7 TO 8 PM NOVICE CLASS ( TUESDAY'S REGULAR 6 TO 7 CLASS SLOT) All dancers are expected to attend parade rehearsals if they are participating. Those who do not attend will not take part in the performance area in front of the judges, however, they may still march along the route. Please make sure you re read the parade attire list sent previously by email . Also, I will be demonstrating the PROPER way to attach a wig after the first parade practice so parents please stop in. PARADE UPDATES AND INFO Mt. Holly Parade. : March 6th parade starts at 1 pm. We will meet around 12 at a site yet to be determined. This is a real nice parade through a historic town. www.mt.hollyparade.com click on info . The Bucks county parade: will be held March 13th at 10:30 am. All dancers will meet in the parking lot of St. Joseph the Worker school no later than 9:45 am. Coffee and donuts will be served in the hall prior to the parade and after mass. There is NO PARKING in that lot, so all dancers will need to be dropped off either by parents or by the shuttle buses that run from the parking lot of Conwell Egan High school on Wistar road. Parents can park there if they would like since the parade ends at the corner of New falls and Woodbourne Rd. Parents can pick up dancers at the end of the route, please let me know that you have your child before you leave!! There will be a hoolie, which is a ceili dance party with live music and food being held directly after the completion of the parade at the old Trease Catering facility from noon to 5 pm. All dancers and families are invited to attend . Food and beverages are provided and the girls usually have the opportunity to dance . So bring your dance shoes if you come! Web address: www.bucksirishparade.com/ ( some pics and news) Philadelphia St. Pats parade: We are in the 7th division for Phila parade so we will need to be in the city by 11am. Bus details and cost per rider are being finalized and all money is due in full by March 9th! All parents who want to march with the school in the Philadelphia parade must abide by parade attire (see the website) no jeans or sneakers or crazy colored coats. We are being judged by uniformity of our entire group. Parent marchers must also purchase a parade badge from a parade marshall at the site for $1.50 . All particpants must have a badge by parade regulations, and I only have enough for the dancers . Parent marchers will walk behind the van. Dancers will march first, then the van so the girls can hear the music, then the parents. Parents cannot march alongside the dancers. All other parents will wait at the end of the route at the performance area. ( If you need info on that please see: http://www.philadelphiastpatsparade.com/ and click on the line of march icon. You can find all directions and performance location etc. and any other news there. The buses will drop us off at the line up location and move to a designated parking area until it is time to pick us up at the end of the parade. Parents who are not marching will walk to the viewing area and wait for us to reach the performance area and then leave all together. You may leave things on the bus, but the school or the bus driver will not be responsible for any missing items.
