The director of the Mc Coy School of Irish Dance, Maggie Mc Coy-Lorady, T.C.R.G., is a certified Irish Dance teacher having passed the required examinations byAn Coimisiun le Rinci' Gaelacha in Dublin Ireland, the governing body of Irish Dance. She is a registered teacher of An Coimisiun, and also theMid -Atlantic Region of the United States. Maggie has been involved with the Irish Dance community throughout the Bucks County and Philadelphia area for many years not only as a dancer and teacher, but also as a "dance parent", which gives her a unique perspective into the world of Irish Dance. Her goal is to share her love of Irish Dance with her own students just as her teachers shared with her. Darrin Lorady, a champion Irish Dancer has toured the United States and both a competitor and performer. He has competed at the World Championships in Ireland and Scotland, and was the Mid-Atlantic Region champ for several years in a row. Darrin has performed at numerous venues throughout the United States including: Radio City Music Hall and Carnegie Hall. He was the featured dancer in the Dublin based production of "A Taste of Irish Music and Dance". Darrin was also awarded the distinguished honor of being selected to go on tour as a cast member and dancer in Michael Flatley's production" Feet of Flames". In addition to his teaching duties here at the McCoy School, Darrin is currently a full time student at LaSalle University in Philadelphia Pa. Dare mph' return to home page |
